In the gathering of Basiji academics, Dr. Farhad Rahbar, the head of Islamic Azad University, , emphasized that a university which seeks to enhance civilization is one which seeks humanization. He also noted: "With the guidance of Dr. Velayati, culture and humanization received top priorities in our agenda and the movement towards discipleship and humanization has started."

"I am glad to be with Basiji academics of Islamic Azad University, and I believe that the slogan of "we can" is felt better within this faithful and revolutionary gathering," said Dr. Farhad Rahbar, head of Islamic Azad University in the gathering of Basiji academics, held this morning at Islamic Azad University, Central Tehran Branch according to the Public Relations Department of Islamic Azad University, Central Tehran Branch.

The head of Islamic Azad University stated that Basij-e Mostaz'afin was formed following the wisdom of Imam Khomeini, and continues its way with the guidance of the Supreme Leader. He stated: "One should be proud that Basij has been able to make the enemy inferior. We still need help and support from the educated ones, and we require their consultation in order to pass the Islamic Revolution into the hands of Imam Zaman."

He added: "In the new era, the use of universities is not limited to education, research and entrepreneurship, but universities are the centers of culture and civilization, and their main task is the management of cultural changes as well as the production of science and technology."

Dr. Farhad Rahbar posed the question that what factors should be considered for having an effective university. Then, he stated that: "a university which aims to form civilizations is an environment with a smart and creative structure, elite academics and students, as well as insightful staff. Such a university is a spiritualist, value-oriented, and fair-oriented university which directs the science, because a directionless science leads to nowhere. "
